Ever since the pandemic has begun, we seldom go to the grocery store, nor order pizza delivery. So, I decided to make my own Homemade Pizza Dough.

Pizza is our Friday go-to dinner. We buy the ready-made one from the grocery store (not frozen), or order pizza delivery.

And one of the other best things about this easy pizza dough? It’s a dinnertime hit year-round.

This recipe makes enough for two pizzas.

  • It’s so incredibly easy to make – it doesn’t require any special equipment or dough hook, and there’s barely any kneading. You just need a couple bowls and patience while it rises!
  • You can make this pizza dough ahead of time. Keep it in the fridge for a couple days or pop it in the freezer for a couple months.
  • It’s a straightforward simple recipe that you can customize however you like.

Can I freeze pizza dough?? Of course, pizza dough freezes really well. You can wrap it in saran wrap then place into a plastic bag and seal it. Place it into the freezer once you finish mixing it. The dough could last one month in the freezer.

To thaw your frozen dough, place it in the fridge the night before you want to use it. It will thaw and start to rise a little bit.

What temperature to cook homemade pizza?

400 degrees F is the ideal temperature for making a pizza in an oven at home.

HOW TO MAKE PIZZA DOUGH

  • INGREDIENTS:
  • 3 cups flour (can be 1 ½ cup wheat flour & 1 ½ cup all purpose flour)
  • 1 tbsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup warm water

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Add flour to a mixing bowl, add yeast, sugar, salt, olive oil and water. Stir until combined
  2. Place onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 to 10 mins. Add more flour if your dough sticks while kneading, 2 tablespoons at a time.
  3. Place dough ball into a lightly oiled bowl, then cover with plastic wrap/clean cloth. Set in warm place for about 30 minutes until the dough is doubled in size.
  4. Put the dough on a flour surface and knead lightly to remove extra air.
  5. Divide dough into two, stretch each ball flat to make pizza crust. Let it rise for 15 minutes.
  6. Add toppings and then bake in a preheated oven for 400 degrees for about 15 to 17 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

You can add the toppings of your choice, in my case, these are the available ones on my fridge.
Just add the toppings of your choice. In my case, these are the ones available on my fridge.
