When thinking about frozen mixed vegetables, we often refer to them as a side dish for our meal. However, we will make frozen mixed vegetables as the STAR of our meal in this case.

What do we need for this recipe?
- Frozen Mixed Vegetables – which consist of carrots, corn, green peas and green beans.
- Ground Meat – I’m using ground beef in this recipe, but any kind of ground meat will do. Like, ground pork, chicken or turkey. Shrimp can also be used, as long as it’s cut into small pieces, not ground.
- Onions
- Garlic
- Olive oil – or avocado oil
- Oyster sauce – soy sauce, hoisin sauce can be used if oyster sauce is not available.
- Salt & Pepper – to taste
How do we make this Frozen Vegetables Stir Fry?
- Take the frozen vegetables from the freezer 30 minutes before cooking (no need to thaw overnight)
- Chop your onions and garlic.
- Heat oil in a Wok or skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onions, stir and let it sweat for 1-2 minutes then add in your garlic cook for minutes until fragrant.
- Next, add in your ground beef, stirring and crumbling into pieces. Cook until brown and then drain excess grease.
- Add the oyster sauce and mix well.
- Add the frozen vegetable and mix to combine. Cover for 2-3 minutes, then add salt and pepper to taste and stir.
- Turn the heat off and serve over rice.

Frozen Vegetable Stir Fry with Ground Beef
Ingredients
- 750 grams Frozen Mixed Vegetables (1 pack)
- 450 grams Ground Meat
- 3 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 medium Onion (chopped)
- 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 4 tbsp Oyster sauce
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- Green Onion (for garnish - optional)
Instructions
- Take your frozen mixed vegetables 30 minutes before cooking. Place it in a colander or bowl. (no need to thaw)
- Chop your onion and mince your garlic.
- Heat oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high, then add chopped onions and stir for 1-2 minutes, then add the minced garlic.
- Then add the ground beef, stirring and crumbling into smaller pieces. Drain excess grease, then add the oyster sauce and stir until mixed.
- Add the frozen mixed vegetable and stir to combine. Cover for 2-3 minutes. Then add salt and pepper to taste continue to stir until well combined.
- Garnish with green onions and serve over rice, quinoa, or buns.
