This crunchy lettuce salad with sesame dressing is perfect for anyone who is looking for a light and refreshing meal. The best part, it’s only made of 5 simple ingredients.
This salad is fresh and flavorful that is perfect for any occasion. It is made with crisp, refreshing lettuce that is cut into bite-sized pieces. The lettuce is then tossed with a delicious combination of toasted sesame, sunflower seeds, and almonds.
The sesame dressing is a key component of this salad. It adds a tangy and savory flavor that perfectly complements the natural sweetness of the lettuce.Â
Here’s what we need to make this Crunchy Lettuce Salad
- Romaine Lettuce or a bag of Romaine Salad:Â I’m using romaine lettuce because it has a crisp texture and mild, refreshing flavor that pairs well with other salad ingredients. Since I have a bag of romaine salad, I used it.
- Sesame Seeds:Â These small and firm seeds have a hard outer shell that gives a satisfying texture when eaten. When toasted sesame seeds become even crunchier and develop a nutty, savory flavor that can add depth and complexity to a salad.
- Sunflower Seeds:Â These are also crunchy because they have a hard outer shell that gives a satisfying texture when eaten. Especially when toasted, sunflower seeds enhanced their nutty flavor and add even more crunch to the salad.
- Almonds:Â This type of nut is relatively firm and has a hard outer shell, giving s satisfying crunch when eaten. It provides a healthy source of fats, protein, and fiber making it a nutritious addition to the salad.
- Sesame dressing:Â This dressing perfectly compliments the nutty flavors of the seeds and almonds, while also adding a touch of sweetness and tanginess to the salad. Store-bought or homemade Asian sesame dressing can either be used.
