These are the ingredients that you need in making this Dinner Rolls. Easy right??

Flour, sugar, salt, butter, yeast, and warm water

Dinner Rolls Ingredients

Dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water and let it stand for 5 minutes

yeast proofing

The yeast will start to bloom or become foamy after 5 minutes.

Blooming yeast

Add all the ingredients, butter, salt, and 3 cups of flour until combined. Add additional flour 1/4 cup at a time. Your dough will be a little sticky and rough. Knead it until the dough pulls away from the sides and slightly sticky to the touch.

Dinner rolls dough

Let your mixer knead the dough for 3-5 minutes or until it has a smooth texture. To test that your dough is ready, try to stretch it between your fingers, if it stretches without breaking then you can let your dough rest.

cover the dough in plastic

Form your dough into a round shape and cover it with plastic wrap or cloth and place it in a warm spot. Let it rise until double in size.

doubled size dough

The dough has doubled in size.

Punching the dough

Punching the dough to let the air pockets out.

Why are we punching the dough?

Dough punching is very important in making yeast bread. As your dough rises, tiny air bubbles or pockets of air are formed inside. Punching helps in reducing those air bubbles and gives your bread a finer crumb and bread texture.

divide the dough into equal parts

Divide the dough into equal parts. In this post I made it into 20 pieces. But it is really up to you. You can make it bigger like the bun size.

Here’s the dough divided into 20 pieces.

brushed with melted butter and sprinkled with sea salt

Brushed with melted butter and sprinkled with salt. Cover again and let it rise until double in size.

Dough is rising after 20-30 minutes

Dough has doubled in size and it is ready to bake in the oven. Bake in 400 degrees temperature for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Baked Dinner Rolls

Tadaaa, Easy Dinner Rolls fresh from the oven. 🙂

It does not take too long to make this recipe within an hour or so you will have fresh bread out from the oven. Plus, nothing smells better than freshly baked bread.

When I was a little girl, Mama would take me to the bakery store to get some Pandesal (Filipino bread rolls). This bread is best eaten when it is still warm. Coming to the store, the smell of bread and yeasty aroma from the oven is so heavenly, it makes me happy and at the same time hungry. 😊 Those were good memories. This is where it all started, my love for Bread!!!

Nowadays, I am making my own bread. This recipe that I am sharing will be your new favorite when making dinner rolls. Soft, fluffy, buttery Easy Dinner Rolls which is ideal for every meal (even snacks).

So, for the up coming Holidays, entice your family with these tasty and sinfully good bread.

By the way, these bread freezes perfectly if you have any leftovers. But I doubt it, since these are so good, they will be asking for more.
